“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” – Romans 1:16
The gospel (or God’s good news about how a person is saved) is not only the most important message in the bible, it is the hermeneutical key to understanding and reconciling the Scriptures as a whole. As such:
- The main principles which make up/are the basis of its redemptive message can be found throughout the canon (from Genesis to Revelation).
- It is one singular, consistent message of “Abundant Life in Jesus Christ IF we submit to Him as Lord before Savior in the relationship of Covenant through His Church.”
- It is at the center of all we do at DRC – including our liturgy. Every Sunday we proclaim this message at the beginning of our worship time together.
If you would like to know more about this message (and we hope you do!), please take the time to read the documents below – or listen to our several sermon series on the subject. As always, we would love to hear from you if you have any questions or comments!
